The University of Pittsburgh Institute on Aging’s referral phone line -- 1-866-432-8742 -- and expansive website offer a wealth of information on topics of interest to seniors and caregivers, including specific diseases and conditions; nursing homes, home care, and other senior care options; Medicare and other insurance issues; legal services (durable power of attorney, living wills); upcoming educational programs, screenings, and events for older adults; current aging-related research studies at the University of Pittsburgh; and UPMC physicians, specialists, programs, and hospitals.

Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program is a free, confidential resource that offers counseling and support to employees and their household members who are struggling with issues related to eldercare, including family or marital problems, financial problems, stress, and more.
