UPMC Savings Plan
Have you been receiving your full paycheck? If you haven’t
been participating in the UPMC Savings Plan, then you are missing
out on some of your money. Staff members are eligible to begin participating
on the first day of employment. It’s easy to enroll by entering
My
HUB, clicking on the Human Resources tab, and selecting My Retirement
under My Benefits. You will be linked directly to the Your
Benefits Resources website, our secure, user-friendly website
maintained by Hewitt Associates. You also can call the UPMC Retirement
Line toll-free at 1-877-206-8264 between the hours of 9:30 a.m.
and 6 p.m. EST Monday through Friday, to speak with a representative.
Once you have enrolled in the Savings Plan, you may be eligible
to receive matching contributions on the Jan. 1 or July 1 after
you have attained age 21 and completed 1,000 hours of service. If
you are eligible for matching contributions, 50 percent of your
contribution will be matched by UPMC up to certain plan limits,
depending on work location and employee classification. You are
able to contribute either a percentage of your paycheck or a flat
dollar amount. Should you decide to have a flat dollar election,
this amount should be at least equal to that plan limit in order
to receive your full matching contribution.
The money you save now can make the difference between a comfortable,
secure financial future and an uncertain one. Use the UPMC
Pretax Savings Plan Calculator to see how your money can grow.
The UPMC Savings Plan is one of the easiest, most convenient, and
best opportunities that you have available to you to save for your
future.
You will be fully vested in UPMC matching contributions after you
have completed three years of service in which you have been paid
for at least 1,000 hours. You are always vested in your contributions
to the Savings Plan.
Benefits described may not be applicable to all staff. Some business units have unique benefit programs, certain job classifications may affect benefit eligibility, and contract terms determine benefits for physicians and members of collective bargaining units.
